Indisputably the best character in the game. Aegis: She's got unreactable mix-ups, she controls space very well, and she's got great damage. But thank you, someone who understands that Yukiko is better than Kanji/Liz! They're just plagued by a ton of bad matchups.
The rest of the cast has to work a LOT harder to beat these current Top 5, but they are viable.

Also the fact that after a R-Action, the opponent is placed in a really scary situation where it's hard to avoid a free 5B bat to the face or get hit by certain item setups. Kuma's commonly rounds out the rest because he has really good item setups and item-specific combos which can either lead to damage or unblockable Teddie Circus setups. The fact that most of her attacks are jump cancellable on BLOCK leads to a LOT of safe overhead mixups with her Persona, since if some characters R-Action the overhead, the Persona takes the damage for her and you get a free combo for the cost of 1 Persona card. He's a character you really have to respect heavily and his 5B is a REALLY good ranged poke that rivals Mitsuru's 5A.Ĭhie's commonly ranked 4th because of her really strong normal game when she gets inside. Yu's options off knockdown are incredibly safe and you're stuck in a true 50/50. The characters at rank 3-5 are commonly believed to be Yu, Chie, and Kuma. And did I also mention that she's the ONLY character in that has fatal counters off a low crush AND high crush move? AND she has one of the best reversals in the game? Her only real bad matchup is Aegis, but only at around a 4-6. She also has REALLY good 50/50s that are very hard to react to on certain oki setups. Mitsuru is second because of amazing footsie game that can lead to a buttload of damage with meter. If you played 3S, I honestly feel like most of the tier list mirrors that game.Īegis is at the top because of her damage output and mixup ability off any safe Orgia mode activation (sounds a lot like Genei-jin and Yun, no?)
